Well, thatโs what it means. It means that you have me, that Iโm yours. It means come live your life with me. The only thing I ask is that you outlive me so I never live another day without you.
Beth Dutton on Yellowstone
It was finally time! Time to go to Yellowstone National Park. We left super early to get in before the crowds, and we were greeted by a wait of zero cars at the west entrance. Lucky us!!
Yellowstone is full of wildlife. And it certainly didn’t disappoint. We saw some deer, elk and bison all within the first 15 minutes of entering the Park. Seeing your first wild bison is a pretty magical experience. I found myself whispering for no reason because I felt like an outsider looking in on their wild state of being.
From there, we explored some turn offs, including the Firehole Loop. We encountered our first of many bison walking down the road, just before we stopped at Gibbon Falls. And stopped for a quick hike at the Artist’s Paintpots Trail.

But the highlight of this first part of the day was definitely the Norris Geyser Basin area. It may have even been the highlight of the entire Park! We explored both the Back and Porcelain Basins. With over an hours worth of video from the day, I decided to split the YouTube Video into two parts. Check out Part 1 below!
