Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Day 4 was a big day in Yellowstone National Park. We hiked double digits, saw SO MANY geysers, and had an all around wonderful time.
Our day started a little later than we wanted, but still earlier than most of the other tourists in the Park as we were able to easily find parking at the popular Fairy Falls trailhead. And, as luck would have it, when we were done with the hike we were able to find parking in the super popular Grand Prismatic lot! I wasn’t too excited about seeing the Grand Prismatic, but it definitely exceeded my expectations.
After that, we headed to Biscuit Basin and had lunch in the parking lot before hiking around. I had my favorite from the Backcountry Foodie; Garlic Parmesan Ramen. There is an option to extend the hike 2ish miles into the backcountry to see Mystic Falls. Or, if you’re feeling up to it, you can do the loop which extends the hike to around 3.5ish miles, but takes you to the Upper Geyser Basin overlook where you can see all 150+ geysers at once! We still had a lot to see, so we opted to only do the boardwalk portion of the Biscuit Basin.

With over an hours worth of video from the day, I decided to split the YouTube Video into two parts. Check out Part 1 below! And, as always, if you’d like to see more from my journeys, or follow along as I post more from our honeymoon road trip, be sure to follow me on Instagram and subscribe to my YouTube channel!
